Members of 62A were disappointed once again when many of our
classmates who wanted to could not attend the 2021 Reunion, likely the last chance our OCS class
will have to share time and memories together. Health issues prevented the
attendance of a lot of our classmates and spouses. We are
all very familiar with this problem. At the high point, about 35 planned to
attend. But all who actually made it had a good time.
A total of 11, but only 8 of our classmates and spouses met there. They were: Don Backer Milt Birmingham, Hal and Ginny Miller, Nancy McNary, Coleman and Emily Rader, and John Shatz, Don's daughter-in-law Harla, Bruce Birmingham and wife Brenda. We visited our memorial area on Lackland AFB and took the boat ride around the Riverwalk. But the time spent together in the hospitality room and other venues was the highlight for most of us. A special THANKS to Don Backer's daughter-in-law Harla for making it possible for Don to attend. Hal and Ginny also get kudos for setting up the Hospitality Room.
