Comments: Just read some of the earlier comments. Noted in the comments by Dennis Golemis - 2 errors. Art Cormier was a POW for over 7 years and when repatriated, he accepted a "dirfect commission" (after refusing it when first offered). We made him an "honorary" member of 62-A and he attended a couple of the class reunions - one helluva guy... Re Jim Yocum - he died of cancer in Florida and the "downed airman" in the Gooney Bird was Jerry Meek (our enlisted Marine). Thanks for the effort, Milt. Murray

Comments: Just browsing the web to check on OCS information. I was in Class 57A, 1st Squadron (Commander). I retired on 1 March 1985 with 37 years, 3 months, and 28 days of military service. It all started on 3 November 1947 when I was 16 years old. I enlisted in the Tennessee Army National Guard and then dropped out of high school and enlisted in the USAF on 1 December 1948. I was a T/Sgt when I was selected for OCS. After being commissioned, I completed Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College, Air War College, and Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Also, while on active duty, I completed high school GED, college GED, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Business Administration and MS Business Management. I would like to hear from our OC friends. Cheers, John.
